« Why do you ask » deals with the quest for a sustainable future by staging the reality and the utopia, the present and its traces.

The video presents a series of answers to a question that is never asked. Nevertheless, the sound clues and the tone of the answers confirm what everyone senses : those who answer chose to immigrate and explain why. Then their words replace the absent image/subject as site of politics and trauma.
